Work Centre Group Master (by location)

Each group (e.g. "Turning", "Milling", "Grinding") is a machine family, not a single machine. The individual machines within a group — with their envelope/capacity — are set up in the Machine Master below.

Machine Master — Machines within each Group

Feeds the Machine dropdown on each operation
Group (Work Centre) Machine Name / ID Serial No. Machine Envelope / Capacity
Each machine belongs to one Group above and carries its own envelope (max turning Ø×L, table travel X×Y×Z, max grinding size, etc.). The operation row's Machine dropdown only lists machines matching that row's selected Group, with envelope shown as a tooltip and inline.

Material & Cutting Data Library

Feeds the Cycle Time Calculator
Material / Grade Turning Milling Drilling Boring Threading
Vc (m/min)Feed (mm/rev) Vc (m/min)fz (mm) Vc (m/min)Feed (mm/rev) Vc (m/min)Feed (mm/rev) Vc (m/min)
Reference starting values for carbide tooling — validate against tool vendor data and shop trials before locking a routing. Selecting a material in the Cycle Time Calculator auto-fills Vc / feed for the chosen operation.

Cutting Tool Library

Speed/feed multipliers applied on top of Material data
Tool / Insert Type Vc Multiplier × Feed Multiplier × Application Note
Multipliers scale the Material Library's baseline (coated carbide = 1.0×). Example: HSS ≈ 0.3–0.4× carbide speed; ceramic/CBN run several times faster on hardened steels but need rigidity and are workpiece-specific — adjust to your actual insert data.

Outside Process / Job Work Master

Feeds the Outside Process details on each operation
Process Type Default Vendor Vendor Location Std. Lead Time (days) Rate / Billing Basis
Vendor names and rates are placeholders — replace with your empanelled sub-contractors. Selecting a process type on an operation's Outside Process popup auto-fills vendor, location and lead time.
*Outside Lead Time is a simple sum of subcontract operation lead times — treat as indicative; sequence-dependent (critical path) scheduling should be checked against the actual routing order.
